The Jennings Mardi Gras parade captures some of the
atmosphere of urban Mardi Gras, but it's probably even more enjoyable for most of crowd
and parade watchers. Often, people on the floats recognize members of the crowd, and
the exchanges shouted back and forth can be hilarious. The floats, like the one for Krewes
des Couillon Duhon, typically express a Mardi Gras spirit that is unique to Southwest
Louisiana. |
